An early 19th century “Seaman’s Chest” with original rope handles, it has a lock but no working key has an unusual brass “Batwing” escutcheon to the front. The inside has two boxes with lids for extra storage. This a wonderful example of a Seaman’s Trunk with all the normal marks consistent of an interesting past.
