This a beautiful standard lamp absolutely top quality in terms of design and manufacture. c.1920.

The lamp stands on a really unusual oval base and the whole of the stand and base is done in Black Laquer with various coloured Oriental designs including butterflys, foliage and chinese figures. These pictures do not do this lamp justice.

It has been rewired with traditional old styleflex (this month) which adds to the 20's look of the lamp.
