A good quality, sturdy bentwood hat and coat stand probably dated c. 1900. It has a slight curve to the trunk which is normal for a stand of this age, this does not at all detract from the look of this piece of furniture.
Hat stands of this quality are becoming rare now, this would look great in any hall or cloakroom.
