A signed pair of Canova lions which are a reduction of the original guarding Canova lions at the tomb of Pope Clement XIII in St Peters in Rome and the Chatsworth House lions. The signature is indistinct (see photograph). These are a good size, well proportioned and very well cast with great detail to the carving. Great pieces for the garden.
