A very unusual and extremely heavy 19th Century (possibly French) set of fire dogs made of cast-iron, brass and copper. The finials appear to modelled on an acorn top. The bulbous stem is a shell style pattern. They stand on unusual paw feet. Interesting and unusual fireplace accessory.
